Celebrate Chinese New Year!

Join us in celebrating the Year of the Rat on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Center Court!
At 10:00 am, be sure to be in Center Court, to watch as the Wah Ngai Lion Dance Association Team performs an incredible, pole jumping exhibition! Miss Chinatown court will make an appearance and there will also be a kung fu demonstration. Kahala Mall will have lai see (lucky red envelope) for customers to use to feed the lions right after their Center Court performance. Free lucky coin charms will also be given out at Center Court! One per person. While supplies last.
From 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, The Associated Chinese University Women’s Organization will provide FREE cultural activities the whole family can enjoy, including:
- Chinese New Year of the Rat Keiki crafts
- History of Chinese in Hawaii and a special Chinese cuisine cookbook booth
- Chinese Horoscope readings for Year of the Rat
- Learn to play Mahjong
- Also, meet with special guest, Ina Chang – famed Chinese Calligrapher, she will be making custom good luck calligraphy for everyone to enjoy!
