2024 Annual Halloween Costume Contest

Join us for our 45th annual Halloween Costume Contest on Friday, October 25. 2024. Huge Mahalo to our partner for 45 years, the Department of Parks & Recreation, Waialae Complex!

This is our can’t miss event of the year with amazing costumes, family fun and lots of prizes/gift cards from Kahala Mall merchants! Also, each contestant receives a mini backpack of treats! Mahalo to our sponsor: Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Advantage Realty and to our generous merchants!

There is no registration! Participants simply line-up by age groups at their designated assembly time.  Look for staff/sign-holders in the theatre wing. Please report to assembly areas at the times listed below. i.e. If you are 2nd/3rd grade, you do not need to show up at the event at 4:30PM, our advice is to get in your age group line a little ahead of your 6:00PM assembly time! Don’t be late 🙂

Costumed keiki will walk in front of our panel of judges fronting Center Stage, the 9 prizes for each age group are awarded immediately. Contestants/parents are allowed to leave after their category winners are announced!

Age group/ Location to Line-up/Assembly Time:

• Under 1 year old: (behind IL Gelato) at 4:45PM
• 1 year olds: Line up by Adore Clothing Store at 5:00PM
• 2 year olds: Line up in Theatre Wing at 5:10PM
• 3-4 year olds: Line up in Theatre Wing at 5:20PM
• Kindergarten & Grade 1: Line up in Theatre Wing at 5:40PM
• Family/Groups (portraying a single theme): Line up in Theatre Wing at 5:50PM
• Grades 2 & 3: Line up in Theatre Wing at 6:00PM
• Grades 4 – 6: Line up in Theatre Wing at 6:15PM

For each group, there are three (3) Category Awards, with 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place (9 winners per age group): 

• Most Original
• Funniest/Cutest
• Judges Choice.

Over 75 prizes – gift cards, surprises from Kahala Mall merchants, will be awarded!
